Overview

PITT OHIO, a $900 million, high service, highly profitable, transportation solutions provider offering SUPPLY CHAIN, LTL and TRUCKLOAD services is seeking a Recruiting Associate to join our team at our Corporate Headquarters in Pittsburgh, PA.

Responsibilities

• Conduct various recruiting outreach to job seekers to inform them of employment possibilities
• Assist job seekers through the application process
• Attend job fairs, conferences, and similar events across the PITT OHIO system to recruit, promote career opportunity awareness, and advance the PITT OHIO brand
• Process various recruiting lead sources, conducting outreach, and record keeping
• Complete Daily and Weekly Open Requisition Reports & Audits
• Conduct reference checks for candidates
• Monitor and respond to inquiries via the Recruitment Hotline & Jobs@pittohio Inbox
• Track and manage Driver/Dock Referral Program
• Post positions on various recruiting websites, vocational schools and college/universities
• Assist with maintaining the CRM system
o Create email templates to send to potential candidates
o Ensure data integrity
o Generate reports and analyze data
• Assist in building source tracking reports.
• Support and coordinate the Summer Intern Program
• Conduct exit interviews; maintain and review exit interview tracking spreadsheet and metrics
• React to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned

Other Duties:
• Assist with recruiting including opening requisition, reviewing applications, and scheduling interviews
• Administer assessments for candidates
• Assist with updating job postings on applicant tracking system and applicable job boards
• Support training and development initiatives including corporate training, development and analysis of surveys, and development of course curriculum

• Assist with HR events such as Employee Appreciation, Kids Day, Veteran’s Day and Cookouts.
• Support HR staff on daily duties and projects as needed including general administrative duties
• Provide support and assistance for various enterprise projects

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Human Resources or related field preferred or 2 years HR experience or recruiting support experience preferred
• Must be flexible and adaptive to change
• Experience using various job boards to identify potentially qualified candidates is strongly preferred
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Must possess excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
• Command of English language to communicate effectively with internal and external customers
• Must possess basic analytical and critical thinking skills
• Must possess the willingness to be mentored by experienced professionals to execute job responsibilities
• Previous Applicant Tracking Software experience preferred
• Work independently and function as part of a team
• Establish and maintain effective relationships with all levels of internal and external customers
• Ability to view problems as challenges to be positively addressed and solved
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record is required (some travel may be required)
• Ability to maintain exceptional degree of discretion regarding confidential information
