PITT OHIO, a $900 million, high service, highly profitable, transportation solutions provider offering SUPPLY CHAIN, GROUND, LTL and TRUCKLOAD services is seeking a LTL Solutions Summer Internship.  This internship position is located at our corporate headquarters in the Strip District area of Pittsburgh, PA.

• Analyze prospective business data sets and uncover opportunities such as LTL direct opportunities, POOL dist opportunities, Consolidation opportunities, and LTL opportunities through SCS Carriers.
• Work with BICC, ensuring data sets are in a format that can then be uploaded into the potential customer data warehouse.
• Work with LTL Solutions Architect to enhance the Grow Green initiative.
• Review business awarded via the bid process to look for further opportunities.
• Review newly activated pricing programs to identify where commitments aren’t being made and work with Sales to close revenue/shipment count gaps.
• Benchmark Pitt Ohio’s accessorials versus competitors.

Projects:

• Working w/Acct Managers, LTL Solutions Architect, and BICC to obtain data sets, making sure they are in a usable format that can then be loaded into the new customer data warehouse.
• Review LTL business awarded via the bid process to look for further opportunities.
• Review newly activated pricing programs to identify where commitments aren’t being made, working with AM’s and Pricing to assist in closing revenue / shipment gaps

• Currently pursuing a degree in Business Admin, Management, Data Analysis, or a related field
• Must possess excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
• Minimum GPA of at least 3.0
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Must be experienced in Microsoft Office programs
• Detail-Oriented with strong organizational skills
